As we go on.
There has been a bunch that has happened in the past few weeks. From thanksgiving to picture taking to new nephew to papers and projects, life moves at a rapid pace. The only time this can be slowed is when we intentionally focus to do just that... Slow down.
So what does this slowing down do and how does it impact us? Slowing down allows for God's creation to be seen in the beauty that it is every day. Slowing down reminds us to count our blessings for we each have blessings. Slowing down reminds us that our list does not have to be complete for the day to be a success or the house clean, papers finished, or tasks completed. Life happens and it is through this life that we see God his splendor and his majesty.
As I was processing the fall pictures for preschool children I was reminded of all the questions that preschoolers like to ask. The why, the how and what. How many times do we ask God those same questions? How many times do we just want a simplistic clear response? God is bigger than all we are. Come to God with a childlike faith and he will give you hope rest comfort and peace even in the busiest of times.
My family just went to the Trans Siberian Orchestra and understanding that God has given people different gifts that speaks to our individual hearts. What speaks to my heart is music and what gift God gave the TSO is to play. With this combination God uses others to impact me. How then can I turn that around and allow God to use me to impact others.
Seek those times and in the waiting rest in the stillness that God is God!
