Morning Thoughts
I love Saturday mornings when there is nothing to do before 9. The way the light leaks into my room silently but in its ever gentle way waking me up and reminding me that even today with no plan and no prerogative the world is still spinning and we are still called to do something, and to do something well.
It is amazing to see how God shows up in the little times. Times in which I edit a page in the book, replay a story in my mind, have coffee or dinner with someone who I just saw yesterday or someone who I haven't seen in years lead to moments. All these moments are what makes life grand. I remember the times when there was a movie playing and the movie ended only for me to realize that I had been talking with my friends for so long that I didn't even pay attention to the movie and we had to start it all over again.
God wants that kind of relationship with us. What are we doing to make that happen? How are you committing to God differently than you did last year?
