Hobbit Leaving
Wow, just wow.
We have an amazing group of friends. It is so amazing to see
who we have in our lives that make a difference, impact others, change lives,
live LOVE out loud and express kindness in ways that I just don’t understand
how it is possible and how it works, but it does.
Andrew and I are so grateful during this time to have this
network and this tribe. We have guys and gals who are invested not just in each other but in “us”
collectively and that is such a blessing.
This past weekend was the last of the final push of events
that we have until the big day. It was a fantastic weekend with all of my girls
in from 4 states and talking more than just 5 minutes which was wonderful. What
a cool thing to see where life has taken and is taking us and where God allows
us to continue to be invested and be a part of each person’s story.
Things are going well and unfortunately it is time for my amazing
roomie to move out. That process will be this weekend and I am so sad. I
will miss our morning rants and just sweatpants vegging out sessions so much.
Our blaring of music when we clean, me dropping something early in the morning
and yelling "SORRY" to a woken up roomie, and for sure I will miss our couch
lounging, Chinese or pizza eating, Pitch Perfect/ Step Up watching evenings, when
the day just was too much to bare.
So I am going to enjoy every last moment that I get with
her. Soaking all the feels of what this past 3 years have meant for my faith,
my fun, and my encouragement. She was the first person I told I liked Andrew and the first Andrew told when he knew he was going to propose. She was the one who
kept all of it bundled until the right time she could share everything. You can
never truly leave Hobbit (our loving name for my amazing roomie). I hope you realize that you will always have a place
at the house before Andrew ;). Love you tons.
But for such a time is this and everything shares its own
season. I am glad that she knows that I will show up at her house unannounced
and plop on her bed to share life’s problems just like I have always done
before. So here is to a new way for learning to love and live and grow, not under the same roof but always with the same heart and spirit that connected us in the first place.
Pray for transitions as we enter into this new journey (all
of us- Hobbit always included) and thank you for your prayers that have gotten us and carried us this
far. We love you mucho!
