Daily Struggles are Real: Tune Out the Noise.
Daily struggles, we all have them. I can name off a few struggles that I feel like I run into every morning and they are all before my feet hit the floor and I get out of bed. How do we tune out the noise and make the noise into the background music of our glorious life song? Some days if we are being honest it is much harder than others.
Recognize that there will not be a perfect day. Things will be set up and planned to a “T” but be prepared to be flexible because all good planning can often be countered by human error or miscommunication no matter how hard we try.
Keep your first priorities first. Make a list either written or in your head of the top things that you want to accomplish for the day. Then work towards checking them off. I am most productive in the morning so I do the most grueling tasks in the morning and then open my day up for interruptions and other life occurrences to happen. Know what works for you.
“Your focus needs more focus.” One of my favorite lines in Karate Kid the movie. We could all use a little bit more focus in our lives. Stay on the path of where you want to go and let the other decisions fall to the side. Learn that some times things do not work towards your goals and though they may be good they may not be the best thing for you at this time.
Prep your station. CLEAN That area that you have been meaning to clean for forever and prep your station. Cluttered space reflects the chaos in your life. Intentionally set aside time to create, clean and purge and be able to be ok with everything not perfect but progress.
Fail, and then try again. We will not succeed each time the first time and sometimes not even the 100th time but do not give up. Realize that failure not only creates character but pushed us to see areas in which we need to improve, grow move and shape. Failing well and learning from it will allow you to succeed even greater.
Remember humility and we don’t have all the answers
but create and invest in a network that can help you figure those answers out.
