The mosquito militia and then massacre

Ok so today was good we woke up early and took nayale to get her hair done for her graduation from high school tomorrow. Prior to this we stopped a road side stand and got tacks for breakfast! Three little ones for a dollar. It was cool. We were talking and angel said the most he has eaten was four dollars worth witch is 12 tacos. We then checked on the church and took our supplies and clothes in there for the week and they were changing out the toilet. We tried to straighten up a bit. Then we headed out to cerros (a myan ruin) to check it out for a group recreation. After an hour drive on a dirt road crossing a wooden bridge in our car that they pulled us across the river. After that we then reached what we were told was the site. We got out of our car after already spraying bug spray and I have never seen such a swarm of Mosquitos infiltrate the car... It was crazy!! We were spraying and walking fast and spraying and your could audibly hear them buzzing in our ears as we swatted them. Needless to say our mosquitos in nc are shark bait for these guys! It was crazy we ran up to the water and out on the dock to get some breeze and away from the bugs. By that time we decided we were not going any further to check out the ruins we had already made our decision. So Shannon who is freaked out of things that fly and I literally ran back to the car. It had started raining praise god and we could not tell if we were getting eaten by bugs or it was rain. We stood outside of the car because we knew that we had trapped mosquitos in the car. Once we got in and began to drive the hour back we were killing the bugs left and right! Shannon learned how to kill and bug and I am really proud of her. Then we crossed back over the bridge and went to get lunch. Vester, angel ordered cowfoot soup and i thought of you! There is a picture of it below! I had a cheese burger :). We took some food to nayaley who was still getting her hair done and then we went to a few stores to make some copies of keys checked by the church and they were doing an amazing job cleaning up more than we had. Then we went took a 20 minutes nap at the sea front, got nayaley and headed back to orange walk! Now we are hanging out here at Angels and then we get our first group from Tennessee tomorrow at 11:22!! Yay! Thanks for the prayers keep them coming!
