Ok, so today I did a huge NO NO. I will never do it again.

What is it you may ask. Well, I was making Hot Pepper Jelly, which by the way is amazing.

The recipe calls for 3 bell peppers and 20 hot peppers. Well I had both and washed them according to the recipe and I was seeding the peppers.

Well this did not bother me at first.
Thirty minutes in.... wow. My hands were burning. Looking up on the internet, there are so many wise tails that tell you how to solve this problem.

Milk
Vinegar
Go-jo
Water
Olive oil
Aloe
Tomato sauce
Dish Detergent
Vegetable Oil

Well after trying the first 8 nothing, really helped. Milk for a helped for a little bit but then it stopped working.

So after all of that and hours later, they are decreasing in pain but still being iced.. but NEVER again will I cut hot peppers without gloves.

On a wonderful side note. The jelly sealed, and is beautiful (spicy) but beautiful.

The recipe was my grandmother's:
3 bell peppers
20 hot peppers
Blend,
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 cup water
5 pounds (yes that is pounds) CRAZY, sugar
bring to a boil for 5 minutes
Remove add, 2 packs of surejell
Bring to a boil for a minute.

Then can.
