Well I can already tell this year is going to be interesting with My One Word of Commit.
Lets just say it has already lead to interesting decisions and conversations about what my year should be like in the first place. When I mentioned the one word concept to one of my friends she said that my work should be "unobligate" if that was even a word.
If you know me at all that is something that I truly struggle with. The desire to do a bunch of things at one time in hope that they all will come together and work out how they are supposed to.
Also because I am like a squirrel crossing the road and I can't work on the same thing for to long without me becoming bored or wanting to move on to the next thing. Both of these reasons led to the word for the year. Two ways in which I am definitely trying to live this word out is by writing at least three times a week, not just on here (so don't expect three blogs posts a week) and working out twice a week. This means that I am to write 159 times this year and work out 106 times. I hope and pray that I can stay that committed.
I know that seems like it is not very much but I am trying to find the balance between "over" obligated and committed one in which I am still defining at this point in the year.
I hope your January is shaping up well as we are almost in the double digits of the month that seems to have just started yesterday. As we look for community and relationship this month, those who share our goals, dreams, or words it is my prayer for each of us that we look to the provider of those goals and dreams more than, the dreams themselves.
I hope you have a wonderful Tuesday and may you impact others as you go along.
