You might say I have been absent from writing, removed, remote, avoiding and scared of writing and all would be correct depending on the day week and month that I sit here and stare at the computer.
Something about the words on the page recently have meant so much to me. There is hope, meaning, redemption with words, yet also found there is degrading, deception, and demise that often finds its way into our vocabulary to perverse it and to make it more defiled than it already is with our sinful selves.
I sit here reading today, at home after random productivity this morning and I am struck by the interesting ways in which words shape our realities. More importantly I am in awe of how we say what we say can and does make more of an impact then the things that come out of our mouths. Are we being loving or not...
I am not sure why this is on my heart today or who it is for to remind them that they are loved despite what they hear at home, despite the degradation that they receive at work or the failure that they think they are in. There is HOPE and there is LOVE and there is freedom from not only all of that but from ourselves that seem to trap us into the mentality when something goes wrong that we are the only one that has ever been in a situation like that before and no one else understands.
They may be quiet around you but other people are fighting and facing battles that you know nothing about. Make sure that your words are edifying not condemning and that you are displaying the love that was given to you by someone who you can never repay.
As I have been removed and remote avoiding writing I have been thinking about things and situations in which the times I want God I often think he is silent and the times that I don't I often see him working. I pray that we each can have the time of sensing whether we see him working or not that He is with us, He is for us and He will never leave us.
May your May be bright and remember what you plow and what you plant is what you will reap when the harvest comes, make sure it is something good.
