Veteran's Day
This morning is a different morning.
Today is a different day.
Today is Veteran's Day.
Honoring those who have served and are serving in our military.
I do not claim to know all there is to know about the military or the armed forces. Their rules and statutes are often above my head and those who are in or have been in the service are unlike any other.
They are a band of brothers and sisters united for a cause. I am reminded of those I know that served, or are serving. I had the opportunity to go to the Panthers game and witness the salute to soldiers game where each player represented a fallen soldier as they played on the field. The families of those represented were recognized and brought onto the field. This was moving it was a great reminder of the sacrifice that all of our military and even our local law enforcement does to make our lives feel safer and allow us to be home with the ones we love.
As we think about this month its emphasis on thankfulness and who impacts our lives these branches are on the list as well. These people have families some of them even being in my family or within my circle of friends. These lives impact me.
As we continue this journey of life be reminded of who you are influenced by both positive and negative. Be reminded what you do makes a difference and how you approach situations when you get news that you were not expecting.
Be reminded in our God that works in, through and above all situations and areas. Thank you for your sacrifice. Thank you for your families sacrifice. Thank you for your love.
Many thoughts and prayers.
