Life in the Midst of becoming Focused.

Many things in life are so unfocused our jobs, our schooling, our home life, relationships. The list can go on an on. There are things that we desperately crave clarity and others that we have pushed aside for being opaque and vague. How do we find balance in the midst of it all.

This morning was a great verse on Love. That above all we should have Love that bares all, endures all, and conquers all. But to be honest at times do we think that love can cover all?

There are times when I often think that my pain, my current fears, my doubt my shame outweighs the depth and vastness of love. These times are dark and in those moments I find that LOVE often seems distant in my mind and definitely distant in my actions.

1 Corinthians 13:2 has been quoted time and time again. It bares a great reminder that in the midst of the chaos of life that without love we are nothing. I experienced this love this week in a few different ways. In the prayer by another that I needed at that exact moment, in the love of a family that separated by time and distance I can feel it reach. In the loss of people around me and the love that the community poured out and is still pouring out for the family. Love abounds.

Yet, there are still times that loves seems so distant and so tainted. When we turn on the news and all it seems is hurt and lies, when we hear some talking and all is it is deception and bitterness, when we hear about other countries and war and famine and then look at our own home and see the same thing around.

Love though sometimes quiet and still can make the loudest of marks in our heart. Someone showing love makes the eternal impact in our hearts and minds and changes our perspective about life and the way that we live. There are so many things that LOVE true meaningful selfless love reaches beyond our wildest thoughts or imaginations.

Love is PATIENT AND KIND.

Let us this week FOCUS on just those two aspects of love. Love is PATIENT. Patient with our friends our family, our eternally running late friends, our annoying or crazy coworkers, and even patient with ourselves. Let us be Kind! KIND to one another, to helping others up, not putting others down to encouragement and edification not demoralization and demeaning. Let us be kind to those in need and those in plenty.

FOCUS on these things.

Many thoughts and prayers.
