Saying No.
The tension is created.
This morning I said "no". If you know me well "no" is not one of my most used words in my vocabulary. It requires effort and angst to say these two letters. Wanting to be all things to more people than I want to admit this "no" does not get me very far. Or if we are thinking about jobs or opportunities the fear of regret keeps me paralyzed with not knowing if I should have said yes instead of saying no or vice versa.
With that being said I still said "no". This monumental occasion did not come without its own amount of wrestling.

"As we seek God in the tension, let's hold fast to the truth that God is for us, and He will bring us to the other side of whatever our present experience is. If it's sadness, He will bring us into a fuller sense of joy. If it's anxiety, He will bring us into His peace. If it's heartbreak, He will bring us into His healing."
So today with whatever you have left to say, think, or do understand there will be a tension that is created. There will be a complex that you will have deal with but it is something that you are always capable of overcoming.
So as I release this "no" into the world I know that more yes's will come my way but for this still small moment, this "no" is mine.
Take control of your time before it takes control of you.
Many thoughts and prayers,
EB
