Hope
Working on my word for the new year.
HOPE
I don't know what I am going to do with the word or how I am going to use it for the year but after being reflective an acronym kept coming up in my head. Help Other People [be] Encouraged.
When thinking of the scripture that I wanted to pair it with I kept coming back to the passage on Love in 1 Corthinatians 13
And now
faith, hope, and love
abide, these three; and the greatest of these
is love.
Granted most of the time the focus is on love because it is the greatest. Love endures all things, and never fails, is what we hear in the previous verse. Yet, something is to be said about hope and faith. They both remain with love. It isn't that love needs faith or hope, but love is aided and bolstered by faith and love. It is encouraged and love can then be equipped better to handle situations to understand circumstances and to see through discrepancies better when attached to faith and hope.
So this year is it my HOPE that I don't forget faith and love but remember that Hope is an instrument of His goodness and a vessel for me to find peace, to spread love, and to grow in faith.
Here is HOPE[ing] in love and faith this year.
